Lucian #Freud often said how he loved to paint animals, as they were so natural and physically at ease, and this etching depicts Lucian #Freud’s treasured companion, his gangly #pet #whippet Pluto. Pluto is also the star of Freud’s #design for his daughter Bella Freud’s #fashion label.
This work from 2000, depicting the dog at the age of twelve, will be offered as part of our Made in Britain #auction in #London on 20 March.
