The boys doing a great job soaking up the last bits of summer in the Merced ❤️ It’s that magic time of year when the pace of the river and Valley slow from the frenzied rush of summer. The morning air has a small bite to it, but the afternoon warmth still leaves your eyes heavy and body lethargic. The boys turned logs into boats, leaves into flags and the shore into shipyards. My eyes bounced between them and all the cracks and ripples on El Cap that I once explored. A dance between old memories and new ones. It was a comforting contrast between the past and future, that no matter how old you are, or what your objective might be, there is always a way to play in this place.
