Grateful to take part in the Force of Nature panel discussion at the @REI @outessa event in Squaw Valley yesterday. So much of the time presentations or discussions can revolve around grand accomplishments, conquering fears, what makes athletes greater, etc. It was beyond humbling to sit onstage with four inspiring women and talk about real forces in all of our lives: vulnerability, openness, compassion and connection. I have to admit that each time I get onstage I’m nervous and scared. So much of life we’ve been taught that doing our best means perfection. But that’s not real, and it was refreshing to go onstage and not only talk about that and show that we all have weaknesses and fears, but admit it’s a strength to acknowledge it. Thank you @stephjagger for the wonderful questions and @briannamadia @themirnavator and Diane for being inspirational forces ??? and thank you @REI for creating a space for such an amazing group of women to gather together. @オスプレー
