In #Brussels this weekend? From Thursday 6 until Saturday 8 September (10am – 6pm), our Rue Jacques Jordaens gallery plays host to a free public #exhibition devoted to the unique #Belgian perspective on art collecting.
Pictured here is James #Ensor’s fantastical take on the still-life, a radical creative vision sparked by the theatrical and often macabre treasures found in his family’s curiosity shop. The painting comes from the collection of Oscar Mairlot father and son, ahead of an auction in #Paris in October.
