Met 12 Ministers and Deputy Ministers representing their nations in the third Singapore-Sub-Saharan Africa High-Level Ministerial Exchange Visit today. They hailed from Djibouti, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, and Uganda.
At a time of strategic tensions and economic uncertainty, countries need to work together to promote integration and free trade. Hence this year’s visit theme is “Singapore and Africa: Partners for Smart Cities”. Many countries are grappling with the challenges of sustainable development, and we are no different. No single model works for all countries, but learning from and building upon each other’s experiences in such Exchange Visits are useful.
