Yesterday’s Yio Chu Kang Community Day had something for everyone.
This was the first community fair to accept cashless payments. The booths were run by young entrepreneurs mentored by the Bosses Network Young Chapter. Volunteers showed customers how to pay using SingTel Dash on their handphones. Heartened to see residents give it a go, especially our seniors.

Also sampled farm fresh, homegrown produce at the Farmers’ Market. I hope we can support locally-grown food. It spends less time from farm to fork, and reduces our carbon footprint too!
