“LOL thats so funny sarah!!” - me to me ? ⠀ the only supplement I brought on vacay was my @womensbest bcaas ? - ice tea peach is an actual dream it tastes soooo good!!!? ⠀ ?since going plant-based, i’ve had to be a bit more mindful when it comes to sourcing my body with enough protein - namely enough of essential amino acids (building blocks of protein). most plant-based proteins are incomplete proteins, meaning they lack at least one essential amino acid (EAA). to get this missing EAA, you need to pair your protein source with another source that contains your that EAA. this is called protein complementation?? ⠀ on vacation I didn’t have many protein options?, especially sources that contained BCAAs - so supplementing was super helpful in maintaining my gains haha?! supplements are of course not essential, but have been really helpful as I adjust to this plant-based diet. ⠀ side note: i’ll be sharing more about my vegan journey on youtube (i’ll be doing a 5 month review real soon)? ⠀ side side note: you should subscribe *self promo plug*?? ⠀ side side SIDE note: my “6 ways I recovered from Anorexia” video is NOW LIVE??. there’s a lot of info in there, I would genuinely recommend taking notes and journal about the practices I have to share.
