Picasso adored #dogs, and even during his early days in Paris, the artist always kept at least one canine companion ???. Here the dog, likely his boxer, Jan, is depicted with clear affection and sentimentality – a gently protective hand enfolding its small body as it paws at the lap of the female subject ?.
