The remarkable table that inspired #KarlLagerfeld: Commissioned directly from #FrancoisXavierLalanne, the table, shown in-situ at Lagerfeld’s Parisian apartment, has only been glimpsed by a select few and perfectly embodies the dialogue between the #fashion #designer and the #sculptor. Responding to #Lagerfeld’s specialised requirements, #Lalanne conceived a tray with space to hold his brushes and pencils, a wide surface to prepare watercolours, a light so Lagerfeld could work at night, and an extraordinary central sphere in which he could store his equipment. In the mid-1970s, this exceptional table was owned by another renowned designer, @jacques.grange , who used it constantly until the 1980s.
