Wrapping up our spring break 2018 #mammothcavenationalpark adventure. We’ve set a family goal to hit all 59 National Parks by the time Jackson graduates high school. If we can help our kids understand the majesty of nature and treat it with kindness, they will make the world a better place.

With Mammoth Cave, we crossed off national park #7. We enjoyed smoothie bowls in the RV, hiking into the longest cave system in the world (412 miles long!) and the fine game of Yahtzee.

We learned about the white nose disease that is wiping out the bat population in the caves, which is devastating. We’ve learned how to ration water in the RV and hike up switch backs. We’ve eaten our fare share of s’mores and slept while the rain came down. We woke up to deer in the forest and saw giant crickets in the caves. ?

Thankful to have found a great RV to rent so we didn’t have to camp out in a tent. Thankful that Ryan and I could unplug for a few days and be fully present with the kids. Life is good.
