I had no plans to sleep in, but #daylightsavings took care of that for me. ?‍♀️ . My name is Jen Hansard and I’m the chief Rawkstar (owner) of Simple Green Smoothies. I post more of my personal stuff at (@jenhansard). I started drinking smoothies when my kids were 1 1/2 and 3...and my husband got his first job as a pastor of a church plant. We were struggling financially and ended up on unemployment and WIC. With four college degrees between the two of us, I never saw this coming. But it was a blessing in disguise. . It opened my eyes on how i could make healthy choices with the littlest of money. It taught me what was worth giving up so I could afford to make green smoothies. It showed me that we have to take our health into our own hands if we want to thrive. It also taught me that everything can change- and we eventually got back on our feet. . Here I get to share that with you. Simple Green Smoothies is one of my many passions. I also like to: - fly airplanes (I have a student pilot license) - visit our National Parks with my family (we have a goal to hit all 59 of these gems before Jackson goes off to college in 8 years). We’re heading to Mammoth Caves in KY next week for spring beach camping. (The kids don’t know- it’s a surprise!) - drink good coffee. I was a Starbucks junkie for a loooong time and then I started getting interested in local small town roasters and love the quality and the stories. @firestickcoffeeroasters is where we order our beans. - make new friends. I love meeting new people and hanging out in real life. My fav things to do with friends are bike rides, hikes, coffee walks and running. I love being outside and moving my body. . I have a bad memory esp with names and what I ate. But I can remember how to get back to a “hole in the wall” Mexican restaurant I went to once 15 years ago. ?‍♀️ I have 8 chicken and a duck in my backyard that poop all over my patio. Spent the first 29 years of my life in Southern California, but now call a small farm town in Florida home. . I have an incredible team helping me spread the green smoothie love + build a brand with purpose. You cannot and should not do it alone. . ?: @shehewephotography
