Today we honor and commemorate one of the greatest activists and thought-leaders that our nation has ever seen.
A man who stood for equality and believed in love.
A man who sought to inspire action and dispel indifference.
A man who saw a vision greater than himself and had the courage to speak it into existence.
As I read through his quotes today, I find myself hoping that I can have half of the selfless fervor and conviction that he exhibited throughout his life.
Thank you MLK- not only for your tireless contributions to the civil rights movement, but also for continuing to remind us, even today, that we are a constant work in progress.
