In Nairobi, Kenya, Muslims, Christians, atheists, agnostics and Hindus are coming together to paint their houses of worship yellow. The project is called “Colour in Faith,” and its goal is to bridge hostile religious divides and promote unity among everyone in the community. Yellow was chosen because it’s the color of the sun, which shines on all of us equally. “We've proven that the human family can come together and send a message far brighter and more powerful than the voices of those that wish to do us harm,” says Nabila Alibhai, one of the project’s creators. “Though fear is infectious, we are showing that so is hope.” To learn more about the project, visit go.ted.com/colourinfaith
