Do you remember back to when you were a kid, & you had these crazy daydreams about what you wanted to do, who you wanted to be? Go with that.
I often focus on my deadlines, my schedule, what's next & the execution of my upcoming work. Constantly pleasing everyone else.
I rarely ever have a chance to stop + think, yo CK, you're that girl, that little Candice always wanted to be. And I am my own boss bae, proudly. I accomplished things this year, I never thought I could do, and they scared the shit out of me. But I said, yes to new adventures.
In Japanese culture, we constantly push, hard.....Ganbatte! "Do your best!! がんばって." As I get back to work on my manu and images this week, I can't help but think... I'm half way there, but I want to make sure I always do my best. I must please myself, first. I must work on myself, becoming a better person.
Come to find after many, many years of struggle, you don't have to be the best, you just have to do your best.
Trust that hard work does not go unnoticed & if at the end of each day, you can list off all the great things that happened, you're golden.
The best part is, you get to share your success with others on your climb.
