I can vividly remember the days when I went to my mom + friends + told them I was going to go to culinary school. It was 2004, right out of college. Nobody else was doing it. No social media bullshit, nobody to impress & a very gritty career path to choose.

Mom told me that I could not make a living cooking. The craziest part is that she was the reason why I fell in love with cooking, with Japanese food, with everything homemade. The irony in life.
The Japanese have a saying, "Oyano se wo mite ko wa sodatsu": Children learn by watching what their parents do, not by what they say.
I may not have always listened to my mother, but I certainly watched and learned from her, with glittering eyes.
She was right, I went broke learning to cook, and didn't give af. I'm still paying off culinary school, I still struggle.

You are an example, be one. Start cooking and change your whole life.
Do it for yourself, create the life you want xx ? .
