Words my mother sternly said to Sis + I, when we left the house. "Pay attention, stand tall, be aware", this is ki o tsukete.
In Japanese culture it is customary to be aware of your surroundings, to be mindful, smart, tactful. You wouldn't dare let mother down. You would politely nod your head and leave the house respectfully knowing that you will take great care of yourself and pay attention. & while we are constantly so diligent about taking care of others, or telling others how they should fit your mold, we should rather, be working on ourselves first.
As I sat down to edit this particular chapter this am, I begin to really allow myself to live this way. I live my words, I heed my own advice. While everyone also thinks they have a megaphone in this world to tell other how to live, we should simply be wishing others well off on their own journey. That is all.
Fear nothing, don't judge, don't compare, have no expectations & wish everyone off well. Sincerely send them off to take great care of themselves the way they wish to lead their life. If you don't like something change it. But don't put your bad energy on to others.
