On #SummerSolstice night, heated bidding saw a new record for pioneering artist #Kandinsky broken twice in the same #auction – first for his 1909 depiction of the blazing colours of #Murnau, followed just six lots later by the ‘Big Bang of Modern Art’, Bild mit weissen Linien, which led the sale at £33 million.
