A piece of shade, and a dish of simple, fresh and seasonal #panzarella please. Possibly a cooling breeze too.
A take on the classic #Italian bread salad. This was at @ristoranteclotilderoma, where dishes are all inspired from the Roman tradition of simple food, but each is elaborated meticulously by the two young chefs. The ingredients are all from the region of Lazio and mostly from @slow_food_italia.
Particularly I was awed by a simple dish of fettucine with darden veggies, (not so) casually #vegan, and incredibly delicious!
If you're in down town Rome, near the parliament area, you can find great, genuine dishes for lunch, in a real restaurant, that is designed to comfort its guests (read: not a crappy touristy place where they trick you into going inside, at any time of the day, have terrible menus with photos outside, and serve you horrors in the name of #ItalianFood at any time of the day.) Coltilde is not a trattoria. It's real restaurant. Those who have searched for restaurants in Rome's centro storico know finding a decent one. The prices of the lunch menu is fairly convenient for the quality of the food and the atmosphere. If you stay in the city on the hot Sundays of summer, you can go here for a really great Sunday menù at a very reasonable price.
Dinner menu is more elegant while keeping its simplicity, with both dishes and prices more on the fine-dining side.
