Did you overdo it at Mother's Day brunch yesterday? (If you did, don't worry...I can't resist fluffy toast either). On days after I overindulge in some sweet treats, I always make sure to do 3 things:
1) Blend up a green smoothie.
2) Get a workout in!
3) Fuel myself with plant-based protein.

The green smoothie helps me mentally + physically get back on track, doing a little sweat sesh helps give me an energy boost if I'm feeling bloated + sluggish, and getting protein in helps combat the sugar cravings that can come after a day of indulgence.

My favorite green smoothie to blend after I've done some serious treat-yo-self action? This Post-Workout Protein Green Smoothie. The leafy greens, tart cherry juice, and protein powder all help re-fuel my body and keep me from reaching for that black licorice in my cupboard!

POST-WORKOUT PROTEIN GREEN SMOOTHIE | Serves 2

INGREDIENTS:
2 cups spinach, fresh
1 cup 100% tart cherry juice, unsweetened
1 cup water
2 navel oranges, peeled and seeded
2 cups pineapple, frozen
6 tablespoons plant-based protein powder (my personal favorite is from @thenaturalcitizen)

INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Blend spinach, tart cherry juice, and water until smooth.
2) Add remaining ingredients and blend again until smooth.
