The #yusofishakmosque opened its doors to the public for the first time today! Happy to join Puan Noor Aishah, widow of our first President, the late Encik Yusof Ishak, and her family, the mosque management team, congregants and residents for its official opening.
The mosque has a unique Nusantara (Indonesian archipelago) design. It houses a spacious prayer hall, a multi-purpose hall, an auditorium. The facilities are elder-friendly and barrier-free. The mosque also has a beautiful orchid garden!

Aside from being Good Friday, today is also the first day of the Tamil calendar. So three different groups of Singaporeans – Christians, Muslims and Tamils – are all commemorating or celebrating different special events on the same day! – LHL (MCI Photos by Fyrol)
