Today is World Autism Awareness Day.
Autism is an 'invisible' disability. Many people with autism show no obvious signs. No two have exactly the same symptoms, abilities, or problems.
Quite a few have amazing talents, in music, mathematics or art, like Xandyr Quek, who created this elaborate clay landscape of Woodlands. But many need help to do basic things the rest of us take for granted. Some cannot even speak, or communicate their needs to caregivers.

We have support systems for people with autism, from early intervention to workplace training. These help people with autism live as independently as possible, but they need our support and understanding too.
