The photographer @markmakela photographed this car parked beside a snow plow while outside a convenience store in Union, New Jersey, last February. For the past couple of years, @markmakela has been fixated on a subject that sounds simple: color. And in many ways, he said, the process is indeed simple. “There's just a marvelous serendipity often with many of these pictures, and that’s what makes it so enticing.” The freelance photographer, who shoots regularly @ニューヨーク・タイムズ, says there’s comfort in pursuing a personal project that can be found “everywhere, at any time.” This #nytweekender, we’re sharing @markmakela’s photos from #primarilyfocused, an exploration of #color in his hometown of Philadelphia and elsewhere. #???
