Yesterday morning, @johnbranchnyt took this photo of his favorite “scraggly, crooked oak tree” as seen from his bedroom window in Northern California. As a @nytimessports reporter, @johnbranchnyt is on the road a lot. But he didn’t have to go far to take this picture. “I saw that fog had settled into the crevices of the town I live in (I live on a hill), and went back to sleep,” he wrote. When he woke up later on, he could tell that the light had changed. He turned around and saw this. “The fog was lifting and the sun was shining through it,” he wrote. “In a couple of minutes, the fog was burned off and we had a day of sunshine.” #regram
