Erin Sutherland and Mark Grafton looked out over downtown #Miami yesterday as the first outer bands of Hurricane Matthew reached the city. The storm battered the central coast of Florida early this morning with heavy rains and high winds as the eye of the storm moved north-northwest. While the #hurricane weakened slightly overnight, it’s still a powerful Category 3 storm with winds of about 120 miles per hour. Officials warned that it remains “extremely dangerous.” The storm was blamed for the deaths of more than 280 people in Haiti.
