Day 1 ?Chaturanga Dandasana

Let's start off this ten day challenge with a bang! This four pointed staff pose is most often know as the yoga push-up position. When I first started it was nearly impossible, but like anything else practice and all is coming. ?
.

Tips:
1. Distribute the work throughout the whole body. Even though it feels like it's all shoulders Chaturanga is best when the whole body is evenly engaged.
2. Check your shoulders. Be sure the corners of your shoulders point forward, never down. Spread the shoulder blades away from each other and keep them down the back, avoid pinching them together behind the back.
3. Activate the core. Keep the lower abs tuned on, the lower ribs tucked in and the tailbone tucked.
4. Remain calm. Don't stress this or any pose. There are many modifications so chose a way to approach the pose that is right for you. ?
