@hilareeoneill and I are back in Basecamp with @adrianballinger and @jimwmorrison after another 3 days up high. This time we climbed from camp 2 (6600 meters) to the Makalu La at 7400 meters. It was a tough day for Hil and I, and we were pretty proud of ourselves for taking turns breaking trail for hours on end, until of course @tenzing99, Panuru, Palden, and Mingma passed us halfway up the face, having come all the way from Basecamp (5700 meters) that day. Unreal! Our plan when we reached the La was to ski the stunning couloir all the way back to camp 2, but we arrived in a whiteout that progressed into a full-on blizzard so we decided to leave it for another day ?.
