@jimwmorrison & @hilareeoneill on the final flat skin to Camp 1 today on Makalu. We each carried some pretty heavy loads, climbed in some intense heat, and reached our cozy little camp right as our Sherpa team were descending from Camp 2, where they tried to find a route through the heavily crevassed terrain. Tomorrow we will follow their path and carry a load to C2 and hopefully ski back down! Crazy to think we are only 8 climbers on this massive peak this season. And yes, we also have satellite internet up here ? hehe. Thanks @adrianballinger for carrying it all the way up here. #lasportivana @ザ・ノースフェイス @lasportivana
