It's hard to describe such an epic trip to Antarctica...seeing the world this far away changes you. I heard someone describe it as "Pleicostene"...a primal, natural land untouched by time and humans. I like this analogy, and believe it fits that feeling of being there in person very well. I think it is going to take me some time to work through the feelings and emotions of the things I observed. For instance, this photo represents a typical day in Antarctica: cruising in Zodiacs and observing insanely beautiful, otherworldly ice sculptures. Only in Antarctica is seeing things like this a normal day. It's an entirely different reality, and it is quite hard to come home and wrap your head around all that you saw.
