#2 The Zodiac and the Mountain

A zodiac is an inflatable lightweight boat that is really stable and easy to drive. If you visit Antarctica on one of the icebreaking ships like I did, the zodiac will be your means of exploration....your way of getting from the ship and onto land or up close to the amazing ice shelves that dominate the landscape in all directions. On a clear, windless day (which does happen from time to time in the protected bays) the mountains are beautifully reflected in the clean, frigid water. I took this image from above the bridge of the boat as fellow explorers were getting their minds blown by the beauty.
