What were your motivations back then? Why did you choose to join Instagram? Answer: In 2012 social media was transitioning away from the desktop and going mobile. We wanted to be at the forefront of this shift. With rapid growth of Instagram it was only natural for us to be on the platform. ________________________________________Q: On your last 100 media posted, you have 4 videos. Why so? Is it more complicated to tell a story through a video rather than a picture? A: Creating Instagram videos is relatively easy, we have a have a lot of behind the scenes activity here at Pantone HQ that lends itself to be shared as a video. We’ve found over time that are fans prefer image posts more so than videos. We usually see a 3 to 1 difference in the number likes received for an image vs a video. As a result we tailor our content calendar towards more photo based posts. ________________________________________Q: What are the most inspiring brands/accounts on Instagram?
