A: Here it is a new: today (frid 31), we are launching an Hyperlapse style video by Rob Witworth, who recently participated in a video Blog Trip in Catalonia. It has already been very popular on Vimeo and it has been twisted for a completely new look for Instagram. ________________________________________ Q: What strategies do you use to attract new Instagram followers and keep them engaged? A: There are many ones. In 2012 we held a competition in the network and a shortlist of 241 photos were selected to be exhibited in the heart of the city of Barcelona, in the superb Palau Robert palace. It really caught the audience and #catalunyaexperience became really popular ever-after. Many Instameets have been going on around Catalonia, local Tourist Boards are focused and really excited on the project. They invite local instagramers to discover the territory through different eyes, and vice versa, we rediscover Catalonia through their eyes. Also, we like having personal recognition to our followers. Every month, we publish 6 pics of one of them, who becomes our Guest Instagramer. Thanks to this, we gained more than 3.800 followers in the month of october, when our normal growth was between 1.000 – 1.700 followers a month. ________________________________________ Q: How do you measure your brand influence on Instagram? A: We value the Catalunya brand influence by measuring the followers and interaction, but the KPI we are most proud of is the amount of photos tagged with #CatalunyaExperience… which is over 500.000 so far! ________________________________________ Read more on our blog
