This is a photo of Saturn, fully eclipsing the sun. It was taken from NASA’s Cassini spacecraft, and that tiny fleck of light on the left is us. “There is something deeply moving about seeing ourselves from afar, and capturing the sight of our little, blue-ocean planet in the skies of other worlds,” says planetary scientist Carolyn Porco. As leader of the Cassini Imaging Team, her job is to share pictures from the spacecraft’s exploration of Saturn — its rings and many moons.
