Today at #TEDGlobal, we heard from Chief Tashka of the Yawanawá, an indigenous people of the Amazon rainforest. The Yawanawá depend on the rainforest, surviving largely on hunting and fishing. But they still struggle to gain full ownership of their land, and to have a say in their future. In particular, Chief Tashka wants to protect the Amazon rainforest from exploitation by loggers and other industries. He says, “We are all connected.
