One more #FRTakeover @djneilarmstrong post from Shanghai China. In the previous post I wrote l that the stuff we often get back in the states - the moo shu pork, general tso's are really American dishes and you can't get them in China. Well it was true until these 2 Cornell University students had the genius idea to bring those dishes back to the mother land.
They opened up @fortunecookieshanghai, the 1st American style Chinese restaurant in #china.
Above are the moo shu, sesame shrimp, kung pao chicken I grew up getting from the neighborhood spot.
Featured are the ribs, with a bit of texas/South bbq influence (more recognizable then the hunan style ribs in the previous post)
For expats working over in #Shanghai who miss their local Chinese takeout this is like an oasis in the desert.
