Hey all #foodies and #travel fans. This is yours truly @djneilarmstrong on the #foodrepublic instagram takeover. This is my inaugural post of my #FRTakeover food adventures through asia, First stop #Tokyo Japan.

We're gonna start this one off with the most recognizable Japanese cuisine - #sushi - but with a twist.
Over here they have spots where you can get what I like to call "Robot" Sushi. You order through a touch screen system, and magically the food gets wisked by you on these flying carpet like platters on futuristic conveyor belts.

Sushi at these spots area are pretty cheap, $1 US to about $4 bucks on the high end, but for the most part better quality sushi/sashimi then you will find then a lot of your local sushi spots in the US and outside of asia. You just can't beat the location when getting the freshest product.

This particular "robot" sushi spot is called Uobei (Prounounced oo as in poop - O- BAY) in shibuya area. Address in the foursquare location. Happy eating! Shouts to @cousinvinnieroc for the beats
