“Jen, how have green smoothies changed your life?” I used to force myself to buy a bag of spinach because "it was healthy" and then watch it go bad in the fridge before I even opened it. It felt neurotic! I wanted to eat better… but it wasn't easy for me to down a salad, I just didn't like the taste if it. Then Jadah told me about green smoothies and I have been hooked ever since. Our entire family LOVES them! My kids beg to make them with me— it's an incredible feeling to know your kids are eating essential vitamin and minerals from the earth. No yucky vitamin pills here— we just eat the real, raw source!

One of my favorite snacks are kale chips. I love them. Yet before green smoothies I would have nothing to do with them. Now my body craves stuff like this  I think you should give them a try…

KALE CHIPS
1 bunch of kale
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 tsp salt to taste

ONE: Preheat oven to 300° F.
TWO: Wash the kale leaves and dry very well.
THREE: Remove the stems and toss the leaves into bowl (you can break up into 2-3 inch pieces)
FOUR: Toss with olive oil and place single layer on a baking sheet with parchment paper.
FIVE: Sprinkle with salt and bake for 8-12 minutes (it really depends on your oven so check frequently so they don't burn. You want them crispy, but not burnt…which is a very fine line).
SIX: Remove from oven and enjoy while warm.
