A few things I learned through our breakup (that may never apply to you or resonate but are my truth)

1. Your relationship and your process may not make sense to anyone but you. People may think you’re too ___ (dramatic, irrational, involved - whatever). Their opinion has nothing to do with you. They just sharing with you their wounds and their experience. Ignore it.

2. you will be in multiple relationships in your lifetime. It’s up to you whether they will be with the same person or not. We are changing and evolving, especially in the modern world. None of my past relationships survived because that direction and peace in the which we evolved was very different. Do you only reason J 🫶 and I reconnected is because we both put an equal effort. We didn’t get on dating apps after a break up but focused on what we could have done better in the relationship instead of us sitting in the victim mentality.

3. The process of forgiveness is not easy, but it doesn’t make you weak. It sets *you* free. It allows you to live in the present moment, not in the past or worry about the future. And the hardest person to forgive as yourself.

4. The initial spark is fun, but nothing is as exciting and hot as it being with someone who you went through hell with ❤️‍🔥 our love has never been this fulfilling and Spicey (are we actually chat about it very vulnerably on the upcoming podcast episode stay tuned!!)

I also personally feel that relationships that had no disconnection over the years lack depth.

The goal is not to never disconnect, but you know how to reconnect. Because the strongest relationships are those who thrive in reconnection know how to do it, not the ones that never have any hardships.
