‘ I wish someone told me earlier’ series ⤵️

✅ yes keto / low carb is great for women but not in the lutheal phase (right before our period)
✅ yes we need more carbs but ‘nature’ carbs not ‘man-made carbs’
✅ nature carbs include: butternut squash, sweet potato, cassava, manioc, white rice 🍚
✅ man made carbs include everything proceeded: white flour pizza, pasta, chips, bread 🥖

🚫 we are more insulin resistant around around period which means we will get *a much larger glucose spike* if we eat carbs around this time which will lead to more cravings, more fatigue and more glycation, aging of the skin and HORMONAL IMBALANACES
🚫 eating processed carbs will make your PMS worse
🚫 white rice is cleaner than brown rice which is full of anti-nutrients and can damages our gut (I know!!! The opposite of what we were being told).
