Written entirely by Freddie Mercury, a never-before-seen early draft for Bohemian Rhapsody revealed untold insights into other possible directions the song could have taken, with one page revealing that Mercury originally planned to call the song ‘Mongolian Rhapsody’.

One of the most globally beloved and streamed songs—and the third best-selling UK single of all time—the autograph manuscript draft lyrics for Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody (c.1974) sold for £1.4m at ‘Freddie Mercury: A World of His Own | The Evening Sale’ at #SothebysLondon tonight.
