I thought I'd share this cheerful little transformation with you because I understand how posting a selfie on social media when looking glam and smiling can come across as portraying your "best life" as a highlight of the good parts, skirting over the reality of the hours of hair and makeup etc. that go into looking your very best or the silent moments alone perhaps when you don't feel your best or worthy of love. Personally I suck at doing my own makeup! But I stretched my skills here and went for a bit of gold eyeshadow, some under eye liner and lipstick then straightened my post hair transplant fringe which frizzed up in no time in this humid heat that we're having in England. I also switched out my heels for flip flops about 3hrs into the event because I walk like John Wayne in anything over 3" and being a gym bunny I'm far more comfortable in flats. It's so nice to dress up and feel great, get out and see your friends but it's also nice to wake up without makeup, with frizzy hair and mismatching underwear and to feel happy in yourself, loved and enough precisely as you are. Wherever you fall on this scale today - from being completely glammed up and ontop of the world to entirely natural with zero concern for your appearance - I want you to know that you are already beautiful from within, you rock and this world is absolutely a better place because you're here.
