One of the greatest racing drivers of all time, Michael Schumacher won the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix five times and is known as a man who forever changed the world of @F1 racing.

As the Grand Prix takes place in Monaco this weekend, #SothebysMonaco and @rmsothebys present ‘Michael, Intimacy Behind Speed’, an exhibition of unpublished photographs of Schumacher taken by @vanessavonzitzewitz. Photographed at the peak of his career, the prints capture him in his element, portraying his innate calm and concentration in the midst of adrenaline and tension just moments before the race.

The exhibition will also support the @keepfighting Foundation, launched by Schumacher’s family at the end of 2016. With active projects worldwide, the charity funds several research centers linked to the study of the brain.

On view at Sotheby’s Monaco, 20 Avenue de la Costa, until 23 June.
