[sound on] 💌 I've made no secret of how much I loathe the hypersexualisation of boobs, and all the shame and judgement that comes with it. So when @tommeetippeeuk got in touch and asked me to share my story of my evolving relationship with my boobs, I jumped at the chance. Especially because I absolutely adored their Booblife campaign, as I know lots of you did too. It was amazing to see such a beautiful, diverse and raw portrayal of our bodies through a female gaze 💕 Who knew that how my natural body grew would have such an impact on my life? From the moment my boobs appeared as a teen, I was made to feel ashamed of my body. The overriding message was that I should cover up - as all respectable ladies should. The idea that our morals and values are somehow linked to the size of our boobs, still dumbfounds me. I thought that having and feeding a baby would give us a break from society's judgement, but no. "Attention seeker!" We are called, as if feeding our babies is something we should do in secret. Anyway, I'm so proud of this poem and I wish I could have heard it as a teen. 👙💪 I also have to say Tommee Tippee have played a huge part in my feeding journey with Alf, especially and as I transition in getting Alf to take the bottle. I use their steriliser, their bottles, storage bags, and bottle warmer. But also, their nipple balm has been a literal comfort to my tired boobies.
