Training while sick, something I get a million and a half questions about. My general rule of thumb is: if body says yes, train. If body says no, don’t train. If body says ehhhhhhh I’m not sure, you can plan to train, but also plan to alter training significantly & err on the side of caution/lighter/less intense work.

Truly, unless you’re a professional athlete or training for something that is coming up very soon, taking extra time off to let yourself get better is probably the BEST answer. Go for walks, slow bike rides, stretch, do gentle things just to move a little as you start to feel less like death, but no reason to force yourself into vigorous workouts. The faster you get better, the faster you can return to regular training & you won’t lose any “gains” taking a couple days off to get back to normal.

If you ARE an athlete, weigh your options. Do you feel like absolute dog shit & you’d have to drag yourself through a mediocre session? Take a day or two. Are you just eh and maybe you can get through your workouts as prescribed, just no extra or bonus work? Try it out, but be open to altering if you need to.

Isolating till I get my Covid results back (& obviously continuing to isolate if they are positive) & just doing what I can. Body says go for it today, so heading into both my sessions with the intention of completing them as written. Workin set by set, rep by rep.
