It’s easy to get stuck in a rut, make excuses and do the same unhealthy things over and over again knowing that they’re not good for us because they’re so familiar. Bad habits have a way of becoming permanent fixtures in our life and eventually it feels normal to feel awful and unhappy - stop and change! Most commonly it is our ability to set goals that is the problem when failing to achieve life changes; we may want to lose a stone in weight but we want the results now, immediately with no effort and zero inconvenience to our life. Realistically we need to bring about smaller steps of change and remain consistent for the foreseeable future to ensure the differences we make are healthy, longterm and sustainable - what use it there in moving mountains only to go and put them back where you started? Any good intention you have is better than sitting on a bad habit and living a life that isn’t what you want it to be.
