Measuring up to nearly 10 inches, the giant Blomberg’s toad is one of the largest toad species in the world. Young toads can sometimes be spotted on the banks of rivers and streams, but adults stick mainly to the interior of tropical forests, returning to the water only to reproduce. Breeding will take place in both temporary and permanent pools, preferably in areas with little human activity.
