Found in a variety of habitats, long-tailed macaques have been observed to live most successfully on the edges of forests, with a preference for areas that have been somewhat disturbed by human activity. These primates will spend almost all of their time up in the trees, only descending when they are close to the edge of a river where they can snatch up one of their favorite foods - crab!
