The joy! I just love the way her eyes light up when we play the crystal singing bowls together😍

This girl is SO sensitive to noise and extremely tuned in to sound - sound seems to be both challenging and inviting for her. Before I do anything that makes a loud noise - turn on the blender, use a kitchen gadget, vacuum the house - I have to let her know so she can either cover her ears or leave the room (most often she will choose to leave and return when the noise is done). Anytime she gets scared she covers her ears, not her eyes. After going to the bathroom, if I accidentally knock the toilet seat cover down she literally jumps because it startles her so much. She is also very sensitive to tone - she’ll often pause to ask me if I’m nervous or sad based on the tone of my voice, not what I’m saying (and she almost always gets it right!).

Whenever she gets a chance she asks to play the singing bowls, or wants to listen to “island yoga music” around the house. Anyone else who has a kid this sensitive to sound? First I thought it was just a Pisces thing but now I think it’s actually very unique to her. I want to get an instrument in her hands but is 3 too young to start? Any musically gifted people out there who knows where I should begin?
