Located in Chelan, Washington, the latest manmade surf spot from CityWave (@citywave.de) is a 50-foot wide, five-foot high river wave replica. “We don’t want to replace the ocean,” says CityWave CEO and inventor Rainer Klimaschewski. “What we do is something different. But for people like me, people who live away from the ocean in places like Munich, the opportunity for surfing in the ocean is limited. We’re bringing surfing to people in the cities.”⁣
