Breaking news: A local surfer was attacked and killed this afternoon on Australia’s Gold Coast by what is believed to have been a three-meter great white shark. The victim was surfing between Little Marley and Greenmount when he was hit at approximately 5pm AEST. He was pulled from the water unconscious by fellow surfers; paramedics worked unsuccessfully to save his life. Our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of the victim.⁣
