The preparation went perfectly and it all led to dream-like training sessions in Innsbruck in the last days before Briançon World Cup. That made me confident, while at the same time I was curious how I would deal with the pressure. You know - I did not want to mess up possibly the only competition of the whole year. Especially on Briançon lead wall, where I always struggled in the past (attended 2 times and got 8th in 2014 and 7th in 2015). • Coming out last into the finals, I was eager to climb and most of all enjoy climbing to the fullest. I was confident and light on the wall, flowing up the whole wall without many mistakes up to the last moves (it might have looked terrifying when I jumped and cut loose in the middle of the steep part, but I felt I had it under control). The last moves were just epic fight, one of those battles when you almost have to laugh because you do not understand how it is possible that you did not fall. I actually almost fell while clipping the draw. It was definitely a moment I will remember. • Big congrats to @domen_skofic cruising through the most of the final route as if it would be a walk in the park and taking the silver, and @jakob.schubert who joined us on the podium. Huge congrats to @laura.rogora for her first gold.
